We are holding a Train the Trainer course for Introduction to Safeguarding Children. Search course code M-STT1901 (date to be confirmed)
This one-day train the trainers is for Practitioners who are interested in delivering the half day Introduction to Safeguarding Children training to their staff and volunteers within their organisation. By the end of the one-day train the trainers, delegates will be endorsed to deliver this training in-house and will receive all training materials. You will gain an understanding of the skills required to successfully deliver training and facilitate learning, including: learning styles; the learning environment; engaging and motivating learners; effective communication. You will be familiar with the safeguarding awareness materials endorsed by Suffolk’s Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and the Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB).
By attending this course you will become part of a CPD Safeguarding trainers support forum, an event held annually which will provide updates and inform practice within safeguarding. The forums are attended by an eclectic mix of delegates working across Adult and Children services.
Suitable for SCC staff, PVI registered managers and partner organisations (who deliver services to Suffolk’s children at risk).
Please note: This event is not for school-based trainers. A separate programme for schools is provided by the Safeguarding Learning and Quality Assurance (SLQA) team and Schools’ Choice website.
