Dates are now available for the Care Act Refresher training, commencing as early as the 12th October 2018.
Using case studies, and interactive, engaging activities, delegates will re-visit the regulations and practice guidance within the context of Supporting Lives Connecting Communities, Suffolk Signs of Safety and Wellbeing (SSOSWB) and the Knowledge and Skills Statements (KSS) for Social Workers
We would like delegates to:
• Understand the core principles and value of the Care Act 2014 and the basic structure of the Act and its key components
• Understand how different parts of the Act work together e.g. the role of information and advice and prevention in deferring or delaying a need for care Key requirements for adult social care/local authorities under the Care Act 2014
• Reflect on and improve their practice
• Know what prevention duty is and types of prevention and how the LAs are meeting this in practice
