Creating Safety Plans to Manage Challenging Behaviour
 
Enables Foster Carers, Special Guardians and Adopters to improve their own safety whilst supporting children living with them who are displaying challenging or difficult behaviours. Delegates will explore de-escalation strategies to prevent behaviour escalation and to keep themselves and others safe.

Dealing with Homophobia - Terrence Higgins Trust (Cancelled)
 
This course aims to provide attendees working with young people with the knowledge and skills to respond to homophobia, in order to foster an inclusive setting that celebrates difference. Areas covered include gender stereotypes, homophobic language, challenging homophobia, and the impact of homophobia on individuals and society. This full day course enables delegates to gain an increased understanding of their statutory responsibilities under the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS).
