|Training Provider||Workforce Development Team
This e-Learning replaces the face to face training known as Introduction to Safeguarding Children in direct response to COVID 19.
The course will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
Supporting members of the workforce who work predominantly with children, young people and their parents/carers, who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and reviewing the needs of a child.
This session will support people new to role or as a refresher.

|Training Objectives||- Define and understand what it means to safeguard children and adults and have an awareness of current safeguarding issues.
- To understand who may be at risk and why, identify types of abuse and how they may manifest themselves.
- To understand how and who to report to if you have a safeguarding concern and how that concern is managed by yourselves and other professionals.
